The Development of Attica Thematic Tourism Facilitator also known as THEMATOUR, is a project aimed at revolutionizing tourism experiences in the Region of Attica. It involves creating a comprehensive platform that will serve as an experience booking facilitator. Additionally, the project will establish a cluster to bring together various stakeholders and enhance thematic tourism offerings in the region. Through innovation and personalization, the platform and cluster aim to set a new standard in thematic tourism facilitation, fostering a deeper connection with the rich cultural and thematic tapestry.
ThemAtticAthens
“ThemAtticAthens” is the designated name for the innovative platform currently under development. The name is a fusion of the words “thematic,” representing the focus on thematic experiences; “Attica,” signifying the region; and “Athens,” highlighting the capital.
The Platform
The platform named ThemAtticAthenS will facilitate the booking of thematic tourism experiences in the Region of Attica, Greece. Functioning as a user-friendly online platform, it allows tourists to discover and book various thematic activities offered by local service providers. Service providers benefit from using the platform as there are no fees, enabling them to showcase their offerings to a wider audience for free and tourists will be provided with a wide selection of experiences to choose from.

The Project’s Phases
The Development of Attica Thematic Tourism Facilitator is a project focused on creating a platform designed to promote travel experiences, and an e-cluster for all tourist providers in the Region of Attica.
1. Creating the ThemAtticAthenS e-Cluster
• Goals and requirements of the e-cluster are defined.
• Design and Content creation : The website is developed by writing copy, adding images etc.
•The Testing process starts on many different types of devices for quality assurance
2. Creating the ATTF "ThemAtticAthens" platform.
• Research is conducted on existing experience booking platforms. Advises are taken from experts.
• Forms for packages are created and added to the platform.
• The platform is finalized, and the testing process takes place.
3. Marketing Plan.
• Identifying Competitors: Researching and analyzing existing thematic tourism facilitators
• Evaluating Strengths and Weaknesses: The strengths and weaknesses of competitors are assessed
• Differentiation Strategy: A unique differentiation strategy to position the platform and the cluster is developed
3. Finding providers.
• Various methodologies, such as manual research and data scraping, are used to find suitable tourist providers.
• A database with all the information gathered is built.
• The providers are contacted by email and phone.
